The industrial use of biomass fuel is mainly heating and production of electricity.  In the industrial use of biomass pellet fuel, briquetting describes the process of converting loose biomass residues such as rice husk, straw, sawdust in to solid blocks of high density which can be used as fuel.<span id="more-583"></span></p>
